Cub Scouts Boys and Girls ages 8 – 10

Mondays – 6:45pm to 8:00pm at St. Joseph Catholic Elementary School (249 Church St, Mississauga, ON L5M 1N1)

Cub Scouts learn about nature, playing together, being creative through crafts, songs, stories, outdoor exploration, cooperation games, and spiritual fellowship. Our program provides a place for a Cub Scout to learn more about themselves. Self-esteem and confidence is gained as we support, admire and encourage your Cub Scout. Through games, we encourage fitness and teach fair play, cooperation and learning the value of rules.

Scouting is a youth-led program where the Youth lead their Journey and Scouters are guiding them along the path. As a Pack, we work together to determine the type of camp that we want, activities that we will do and meals that we will eat. While we do camp in tents during most weather, winter camping is normally held in a heated cabin.

Outdoor activities are an essential part of the Cub Scout Program and can happen during a regular meeting night or on a weekend. Cub Scouts will have the opportunity to learn and explore and, many times, meet other Cub Scouts in the area.  These may include:

  • Community hikes
  • Overnight and weekend camps
  • Visits to special places (fire stations, farms, museums, etc.)
  • Fundraising (Apple Day, Popcorn, etc.)
  • Public events
  • Indoor and outdoor games, crafts, and songs
  • Bicycling, light hiking, flat water canoeing, rocketry, archery, music, and many other activities
